Modumo Lodge
Luxury Camp in the Okavango Delta,
Botswana
Modumo is a new Lodge built in
a remote area of the north eastern side of the Delta. The individual
chalets have been made in the traditional style using mud and reeds
and all fixtures and fittings, including the tin bath tubs are produced
by local craftsmen. All eight chalets, each with en suite bathroom
and outside shower, boast a private balcony and lounge. Traditional
design and use of natural log provide unique detail in luxurious
surroundings. During the heat of the day guests may relax around
our swimming pool or enjoy the beautiful view of the lagoon from
our outside bar. The lounge and library are situated in the exquisite
thatch and timber main building. Hippos reside in the permanent
lagoon just in front of the lodge. The large trees surrounding each
unit are home to a variety of birds. Modumo Lodge offers all activities
– mokoro excursions, game walks as well as day and night game
drives.
