Pom Pom Safari Camp, Okavango Delta
Located in the remote heart of the
Okavango Delta in a private concession to the west of the Moremi
Game reserve. The camp offers great Okavango scenery with game drives,
night drives, walks and mokoro safaris as the main activities on
offer.
Pom Pom is a 12-bedded safari camp overlooking a scenic lagoon and
is built under a grove of shady trees. This is a camp for the safari
traditionalist.
The six large walk-in tents are equipped with en suite showers and
flush toilets and 220V lighting. The bathrooms are enclosed, but
roofless – for a true bush experience. Beds are made from
whicker and wood, dressed in soft cotton sheets Pom Pom's dining
tent canopy affords comfortable shade from the midday sun.
All the big predators, and Buffalo,
Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest can be seen. If you are lucky, some of
the nocturnal animals such as Serval, Civet and Genet may be seen
on night drives.
