DAY 2
Day 2: Kafue National
Park
In the morning we will depart for Kafue National Park. The journey
is via Mumbwa and we enter the park through the Nalusanga gate. We arrive
mid afternoon in order to put up our tents. The camp is situated on the banks
of the Kafue River and you will enjoy the beauty of the rich and varied birdlife
and the sounds of hippo wallowing in the river. We camp here for 4 nights.

DAY 3
Day 3, 4 & 5:
We will undertake game drives in the local
area or on the Busanga Plain. The spectacular Busanga Plain is a vast expanse
of flood plain extending to the horizon in all directions. It is one of Zambia’s
most significant wetland resources and the wealth of game on the plains, such
as lechwe, puku and buffalo provide a big attraction for lion, cheetah and
leopard. One night drive in the park is included, providing an opportunity
for frequent sightings such as genet, civet, white tailed mongoose and leopard.

DAY 4
Day 3, 4 & 5:
We will undertake game drives in the local
area or on the Busanga Plain. The spectacular Busanga Plain is a vast expanse

Day 1: Arrival
in Lusaka
Arrive in Lusaka, where you will be met
by your guide at the airport. We will stay the first night in comfortable
chalet accommodation just outside Lusaka.

DAY 5
Day 3, 4 & 5:
We will undertake game drives in the local

Day 6: Lusaka
In the morning we return by road to Lusaka and stay for one night in chalet
accommodation.

DAY 7
Day 7, 8 & 9:
In the
morning we fly from Lusaka to Mfuwe, just outside South Luangwa National Park.
The first 3 nights we spend in en-suite chalet accommodation. Later in the
day we drive into the park for an evening / night game drive. The game is
plentiful in South Luangwa are we are likely to see Thornicrofts giraffe (endemic
to the area), huge numbers of hippo and the distinctive herds of puku. The
predators are well represented with good chances of seeing lion and even leopard
during the day light hours.
For the next two days we will either undertake game drives or game walks in
the morning and combined afternoon / night drives. On the last day a game
walk takes us to a secluded bush camp on the banks of the Luangwa River, where
we stay for one night. The middle of the day can be spent relaxing in the
shade of the Natal Mahogany trees, watching the hippo wallowing in the river,
before a further afternoon game walk.

Day 11
In the morning we walk back to our base camp for a full breakfast before flying
back to Lusaka where we will stay in chalets for one night.

Day 12, 13 &
14
In the morning we drive south-eastwards to the Lower Zambezi National Park.
On reaching the game management area we will undertake a two day canoeing
trip along the Zambezi River. The first night will be spent camping on the
banks of the river. The seclusion and the breathtaking scenery of this area
provide an unforgettable adventure. The following day we paddle downstream
where we meet our safari vehicle. We continue on into the National Park for
an afternoon game drive. On the third day we undertake a full days game drive
into the park. The animals likely to be seen include elephant, hippo, waterbuck,
impala, lion, leopard and the occasional sightings of hunting dogs (wild dog).

DAY 15
Day15, 16 & 17:
We travel by road to Livingstone and camp for 3 nights *. You can view the
Victoria Falls from the Zambian side and undertake a vast range of activities
associated with the river and the Falls. These could include white water rafting,
microlight flights, helicopter flights, boat cruises or a game drive into
the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park – the home to the only 5 white rhino
in Zambia. The cost of extra activities is not included in the tour price.

DAY 18
Day 18 Departure
After your last morning in Livingstone we will transport you to Livingstone
airport for you to catch your flight home or to your next destination.
