| Zimbabwe
Although Zimbabwe has
no coastline, it is bordered by the Limpopo and Zambezi rivers and
the Motopo Mountains. This plateau experiences a reasonably mild
climate by African standards. In addition to the breath-taking Mosi-oa-Tunya
"smoke that thunders" Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe is the
custodian of two other contrasting World Heritage Sites - the spectacular
Mana Pools and the ruins of Great Zimbabwe. This sets the scene
for Zimbabwe, the land of contrasts, where our safari travellers
can experience some of the best of Africa's great wildlife at Hwange
National Park, travel by canoe along the mighty Zambezi, experience
the majesty of Victoria Falls, witness man's attempt to control
the African wilderness at Lake Kariba, and be awe-inspired by the
crumbling remains of one of the world's earliest civilizations at
the Great Zimbabwe Ruins.
